Steve (a.k.a. "Pyromancer" on the bulletin board) had a treat lined up for us at the National Trust's site at Avebury, near Marlborough in Wiltshire.
Saturday 17 September 2011 at Avebury in Wiltshire, £30 per person. 1pm – 9pm
The Study Centre (behind the Barn Gallery).
An opportunity to exercise the mind (a lot) and the legs (a little) on a day out to the World Heritage Site of Avebury in Wiltshire.
A cryptic treasure hunt at the largest stone circle in Europe
taking in some of the surrounding prehistoric sites.
The key elements of the Indiana Jones movies were being used as the basis for the hunt:
- Archaeology/Science
- A Religious Element
- Magic
- Plus a big helping of bull plop!
