Issue 81 of the club neswletter arrived at members' homes in early September 2005 and included was a single, circular, colour image. The images was conceived and painted by Paul Harkin and Martin Dennett and this untitled image comprises the entire 2005 Club Hunt.
Paul and Martin have been talking about a picture-only hunt for some time and have each experimented with minimalistic hunts - such as Martin's seven word club hunt of 2002, and Paul's Lucky 7 hunt in 2005.
Until it was found, we didn't know what the prize was, nor did we have any guidance on how to find it. By March 2007, Brian Souter and Matt Edwards made a crucial breathrough and on Saturday 10 March, uncovered nine gold coins featuring the same chinese zodiac animals used in the hunt. The coins were buried in a wooden casket, at the foot of a milepost in Arrow, Warwickshire.
The full solution was published in issue 90 of the club newsletter.
