The Armchair Treasure Hunt ClubOn the back page of the August 2002 newsletter, Martin Dennett published his succinct and enigmatic seven word hunt, with no name!
Quite what this the prize is and how it worked was unknown, but in case anyone doubted the solvability of this hunt, it had been verified by Paul Harkin and Deborah Hatton.
Only two days after his vitory at the 2002 Annual Club Event, Mike Smith cracked this one and on the afternoon of Monday 10 September he recovered a small treasure chest containing a glass swan in a field to the southwest of Cirencester. The full solution appeared in the October 2002 newsletter (issue 64).
